Stick him out in a scrum cap, then rest him for Munster, we're not winning that anyway - always assuming it's not a concussion. If he were not available for the AIs I would not miss one REM flicker of sleep.

That would be sensible after watching Shanahan show why no other club would offer him a pro contract. FFFS p was wretched more times than not but Shanners makes him look like a player.

Was there any suggestion of concussion? Mere flesh wound otherwise.
Only because he didn't come back on again. Perhaps though the days of slapping on some vaseline and a Paddy Wallace head bandage are long over.

I see Michael Heaney got an appearance of the bench for Worcestor.

It’s nine feckin stitches. Nobody died. A wee sweetie lolly and a loan of Rory’s bonnet, he’ll be grand.

Where is the international 9 we signed over the summer? No sign of him in any A squad or injury lists?

He may have damaged something. As I recall he went off holding the right side of his scone... did his brain get rotated?

Maybe the left side was too sore to hold?

Michael Heaney appears to different people in different ways.

Where, officially, is he?

Very disappointing. So far this season we seem to be able to hold the ball for long periods of time without really putting the defence under any pressure. All three games so far we haven’t really looked dangerous in the opposition 22, the defensive line just spread across the pitch and have us covered.

Problem seems to be that we aren’t sucking enough players in around the fringes/through the middle of the rucks. Flat defensive lines seem to be getting the best of us.

Still counting on hammering the Cheetahs Eggs?

To Paraphrase Bab Marlee, No Cooney I cry, No Cooney I cry.

I'd love to give Shanners a Chinese burn.

The accuracy when Cooney went off was reduced to zero. Possibly less. It was almost funny watching wee dave trying to go on his own and get flattened.

Largely it's the same old static ball nonsense. The only player to take the ball at pace was Reidy who broke the line late on. Ross Kane has achieved this twice in the two previous games. They need to try different things. Go in pods or something. Deysel and Matty Rea added some urgency late on. I thought a fair bit of the kings tackling was illegal. Particularly on Marcell they dived at his feet a lot. Not always attempting to wrap the arms. More tripping him up with their body.

Plenty to work on.

Static pods won't be much of an improvement. IMHO they need to get some forwards round the corner to create a second dimension.
