O'Connor has left Rainey to sign a Pro contract with Coventry RFC. In my opinion it's got to be Ards to go down this season. They just managed to stay up by the skin of their teeth in May. Regarding your man leaving Ballymena to go to CIYMS, what a step down!!! Young talented player but with a serious lack of ambition dropping down 3 or 4 leagues. Must be getting paid a small fortune.

Any idea what club Stuart Lamb is at this season? Portadown, Harlequins, Dungannon, Ballynahinch and Armagh. Have I missed any clubs out?

So no doubt he is going there. My Portadown friend will not be happy about that. He was saying how past it he is at last years Portadown v Armagh game. The moment he hits contact he falls.

Fair enough O'Connor has left us at Rainey and he scored a good few points for us last season which helped but guys just remember its not a one man team, i'm sure whoever we put in to replace him will do a good enough job and by the way Young Man we were voted one of the fittest teams in club rugby in ulster and this includes the pack so if i was you i would take that statement back about us having "a big slow rumbling pack". And for your information TheSnapper the twins have been valuable players to our club, that much so that other clubs have wanted them before and don't worry i'm not one of them and just to let you know, theres only one of them playing now.

You guys have a good team. I'm sure it is annoying to see people writing you off before the season has started especially when they have not seen how hard you have all been working in pre season. Good luck for the new season. I'm sure you will do well.

Thank you for your kind words gannonman and yes it is annoying for people to be writing you off before the season even starts as we have been working hard and we have set ourselves targets. Cheers for wishing us luck and i hope we do well too to prove the rest wrong, Good Luck to you too for the new season

I don't think another strong season from ROB will surprise many.
I'm still wondering if The Snapper has applied any real logic to his analysis or if he is just displaying prejudice against what he sees as a 'wee club' from west of the Bann.
It appears he either has no club or is ashamed of his club.

Tip for photographers at Hatrick Park: don't use an overly large lens as it's surgical removal may be needed after either Richard or Rodney have introduced themselves.

i hope all the teams do well and no one gets relegatedin the AIL. to be honest i think Ards should do ok as got some quality players and hopefully they can pull the other players along. Worse teams are in that league. I think Hinch will do well but not win the league as without Banbury they are not the same team. Quins will rely on which Ulster player is released. Dungannon at home is always a hard place to win at especially in the winter. Ballymena are always hot and cold but do enough to push for promotion without doing too much. Malone under Benade will not be as bad as last year but won't set the world on fire.
Jnr rugby is always hard to call. Portadown should be good with the money they throw about but does that always bring you committed players?? CI have recruited well but quite a few are sick notes but could do well in the league. Cooke just missed out last year so should be pusing depending ho they brought in.

With no disrespect to the Junior clubs I just can't see any that are good enough to play senior rugby at the moment.
