Frankly, I am now totally depressed. The worst thing about Ireland over recent years has been the defence and Kiss still has the stink of Kidney on him. And frankly, if this is the first move by Nuciforia to impose himself then I worry about the future for Irish rugby. I don't recall anything great being thought about Nuciforia as a coach or administrator when I lived out there.

This better be a temporary move until we get a proper world class DOR or we are in trouble.

Cockatrice, pre-season is imminent. AIs and 6Ns are months down the line and can be managed. IMO.

I agree, it's not perfection but it is a better outcome than many that were an option.
I agree but there is some compromise here given our own 'children' were all screaming to mummy and daddy that they wanted to play with the same toy (UR) with everyone then wanting to leave home if they didn't their Xmas present....I see this appointment designed to keep the family together...

excellent news Russ :D .

Is he a backs coach? Forwards? Does he promote an entertaining style of play?

anyone know what we should expect from a kiss team?

What Russ said... tidy defence coach, average attack coach, that's what the international record suggests (understatement)

So we've got two cracking defence coaches, a skills coach and...? Pack and attack could look dodge.

Beats Anscombe though.

He's continuing on in his role at IRFU. It's a big ask for him I'm sure. Really hope he can sort us out.
After the initial elation I'm starting to get a bit worried about this. I've a lot of time for Less Kiss and think he'd make a fantastic head coach, but if he's going to be expected to do three jobs then surely none of them will be done as well as they should. I'm guessing that as well as the likes of Doak and Dinger taking on more responsibility (particularly during international periods) that somebody else is going to have to step in and do some of the work (like player contracts and recruiting) that Humph would have?

Okay I fall in the underwhelmed group, everyone except cowboy knew he was getting the chop. Has the indecision from Logan and the gurning from humphs leftovers forced a D4 influence.

Great to see a management team survive three head coaches. They must be awesome. Or not accountable

Not earth shattering news but anticipated by everyone except me as usual.
Dont think we will reinvent the wheel under Kiss but is a safe bet and we may see a little more stabilisation and consistancy which is what they want this year.
Still cant my head round WTF we offered Anscombe a year contract when we were always going to show him the door.
I`m not underwhelmed or overwhelmed just whelmed

It'll be interesting to see how the players respond to Kiss. It's a great opportunity to show what they can do week in and week out. I wonder will the Leinster fans call foul with Ulsters representation for Ireland grows.
