Shield design is a retro 80s shirt?

Either way, it’s the one I have, great shirt/decent company-I even have the ireland shirt too.

Castore it is. At a “fraction of the original deal” ( BT)
Another piece of top class negotiation and administration by UR.

Would the Vicar of Dibley and her parish council be available to take over UR?

Well there is background to the collapse of the Kappa deal and you can form your own view. Kappa PLC apparently had financial issues at the time and that may have been a factor.

Mixed reviews on Castore gear, they famously had to redo the Aston Villa kit as the original one was a sweat box basically with Villa moving onto Adidas for the 2024/25 season. In rugby Leinster, Saracens, Scarlets, Bath and Harlequins hold contracts with them.

Look who wrote the BelTel article… would be taking any claims being made with a massive pinch of salt

The chance to share a kit manufacturer with PNE was just too good to pass by.

And England cricket.

Look out for some Ulster Rugby bucket hats.

It likely is true that it was a cut price deal, however it could still be worth a good amount of money

I also imagine it’s a one-year deal (or certainly short) as Ulster really hold the long term cards if, as mentioned, there are lots of manufacturers who would like the contract. So from that POV it doesn’t really make sense for Castore to low-ball us unless they want to make easy money quickly, for a short period of time (granted this is possible).

Add some holy water and we could have a religious movement... on our hands

It appears that they had no other option to go to castore due to kappa pulling out late for whatever reason. Castore were coming from a negotiating position of strength and it’s another apparent mess and poor press.

I wonder was any consideration given to O’Neills. It could have at least been sold as a ‘supporting local’ piece…their rugby stuff is quite decent.
