Interesting one.

He can’t have trained too much under Murphy.
If he noticed a flaw in Cooney's passing then he might be taking time with a few others issues... Have not seen Marty in a while. Hope the diet is working out.

Playing against 14 players should give us a marginally better chance.
Still need a couple of yellows probably.

He was involved in the open training session at Ravenhill this morning……but not with the main squad. I was a bit surprised at this but it was clear he wasn’t going to travel
Interestingly, although Kitshoff was with the main squad he didn’t get that involved and it looked like Andy W was likely to be starting with Eric O’S on bench. Didn’t expect Kitsoff to be on team sheet….and it wouldn’t be a shock if there were last minute changes there. ??mind games from Richie??

I was about to write something similar!

What's the story with Stockdale?

Bookies have us at 2-1. Almost feeling a bit optimistic which I'm sure I will regret, ww were bullied in the first half last week.

This is one of those games where the French teams can down tools. They are dangerous in the 1st 30 mins and play with the freedom of it not being a league match. If you can stick with them or get a score ahead then they can become loose and ragged. The best case scenario is they throw the towel in after 50 mins like montpellier did by taking off key players to save them for the league.

Stockdale was listed as injured mid week ?

Interesting selection AoC 50 minutes then Sheridan to second row. as it will be less demanding than back row for the last 30 .

Stockdale was said to have recovered from illness and available.

Clermont could have thrown it last week if they really weren’t interested.

5,000 at Montpellier and 6,500 at Pau.

13,500 at Clermont for the Cheetahs.

We know they’ve good support but there’s pressure on them to perform in front of their own.
