Re: Cricket season
It will be a long day come what may as I have tickets to see The Smyths at the 100 Club in the evening.
Broad will get 5 and England will win.

Re: Cricket season
They need to keep cool heads. They'll have almost 2 full days to chase the total down. They can afford the dot balls. They can't afford to give a way cheap wickets.Bart S wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 11:14 pm Key first few overs tomorrow. We need that last wicket early. Dont want to be chasing 225 or more.
Still see England as favourites. I can see Ireland's batting wilting under pressure. Too many dot balls and panic setting in as scoreboard not moving.
Bowlers have done a decent job in all 3 tests so far.
Here's hoping for a big upset tomorrow though!

England lose their last wicket with the first ball of the day. Ireland need 182 to win!

Ireland 25-6, game over then!
Re: Cricket season
I can only assume that the England bowling was awesome - because Ireland's performance with the bat in their second innings has been appalling

Hope anyone from the forum who was attending today will get some money back for the lack of action!
Ireland's total is the worst test innings since 1955 and the all time worst test innings at Lords.
As Shan would say "England won a game they were expected to win".

Ireland haven't got the depth for test cricket. Wednesday remains a great day though and England's batting is shyte.

I quite enjoyed it even if Broad only got 4.
Am currently enjoying a jar over the road from the ground.
Plenty of away fans including the fella who has the farm next to my in-laws in Tyrone.

I was watching from behind the sofa.
Will be at the game in Leeds on Saturday.
Annoyingly, my prediction of 4 - 1 to England was ruined by the weather at Lord's.

Bowled out for less than 100 FOUR times in less than 18 months. That is as shocking as it is funny
