Ospreys result means it's still a possibility unfortunately!

On the basis of that performance, they may not be able to put our miserable season to bed. Looks like it may lurch to the traditional all or nothing clash with Leinster on the last day.

Meh, I thought we would get hammered.

My biggest disappointment is that Munster were really pretty poor, still holding out hope that they can put the Sarries on their hole

Yes we did.

Do you really think our pack is going to pick and go for 5 minutes to get us up close and in the centre against Munster?
No we didn't and we couldn't even figure out that going sideways towards the centre of the field would have been better option instead we take it from centre towards touch then go for goal.. stupid beyond stupid. I would have bet on us being able to do some simple pick and drive for another 2-3 phases at least but why we picked and drove wide is beyond me...

There was one other time when Trimble cut threw and when Ruan went to pass one of our forwards was standing in his way and prevented the quick ball.. again stupid and only yards from the line.

Pitau bidding for a summer move. Totally uninterested and pathetic performance. Premiership man of the year last year?

If Charles is getting shirty after a mere season of pish he needs to go and have a long chat with his scrum half.

I and others took dogs here when we suggested he was a luxury we didn't need, £500k would have got us *Josh VDF and Dom Ryan :banghead:

Aye, I think a few us asked what's the point of having a winger if you don't have a pack to get him the ball. Don't get me wrong, he's usually a joy to watch and has that X-factor which makes it worthwhile going to a game. However, a luxery is exactly right. At the moment, all NIQ backs are a luxery. Even Ruan at this rate. We need a pack of Monsters.

I'm meeting Jurassic Park dinosaurs at Universal Studios right now.

Altogether much more fun than supporting Ulster although they could probably do with moving some of their dinosaurs on .

On the rushed drop the biggest mistake was going back left after the initial burst by big stu. Another round the corner carry would have left paddy right in front of the posts. Once we went left we were always losing ground and i think ruan decided we are only going backwards from here. Just the usual dumb game management that we have come to expect.

Feck but Munster were poor today. POM turned up, the rest of the backrow didn't bother. The rest of the pack just didn't seem to be firing on all cylinders. Lloyd did well, probably better than we could have expected even given the circumstances of his place in the starting team. Saili continues to be a pain to watch. One minute doing great things, the next getting caught out.

Munster won a game they should have won in terms of the overall difference in strength of both squads, however as it turned out on the pitch Munster gave Ulster every possible opportunity to win, short of actually falling asleep on the pitch, and Ulster still could not get the job done. Ulster backs were poor. The only one really of any particular use is Jackson. To be fair to Stockdale he was out of position to make room for a guy who has some similarities to non-rugby player Van Der Heever.

As for the afore-mentioned Piatau - If I was an Ulster supporter I would be livid with him because today he was an absolute disgrace. I don't mind my team losing as long as the players have tried their best. Most Ulster players do try their best and it is not their fault they are just not good enough, or well enough coached. Piatau is different though. He is dishonest in terms of endeavour. I'd take Gilroy over him any day. At least he tries.
It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways.

When Callum Black is your only option to pop the ball to you cut your losses and take the drop

Wonder what's up with Piatau, his performances have been disappointing over the last 3 or 4 games but today was totally worse, he completely dropped off a cliff, right down to Stu olding level. Next year is going to be 2008 all over again.

He is injured and should not have played. Rather than skiving as some less than nimble minds have suggested he was actually trying to do the right thing for his team. Sadly it back fired.
