I'd love to be monarch, but some of the constitutional conundrums would keep me awake at night.

Pretty sure BR that you know HMQ's tax affairs are not the question, that the alleged foremost person in the country hides money in an offshore tax haven is hardly the level of propriety that we her subjects have a right to expect.

Indeed, but then as monarch of Bermuda and the Cayman Islands, should her subjects not expect her to support local industry?

It seems nothing is simple for the poor woman.

To be fair, if superwealthy folk were not hiding money it would be a surprise.

People forget it
Why should someone over pay on tax?

They shouldn't. Anyone suggesting they should?

I would certainly hate to get on the wrong side of Her... She may change back into a lizard and eat me for Tiffin.
Her Reginaness is certainly one of the richest if not the richest entity on the planet. It is conservatively estimated that Madge is worth $30 trillion plus on her Uranium/Gold/Platinium holdings alone. It makes one feel all smudgy knowing ones monarchs likeness is on ones coinage. The question of tax avoidance is fake news . These leeches have been taking from the people for millenia.

That's true enough Shan.......................but of course, that's entirely the problem.

The toffs feck the world over, society in the UK falling apart, child poverty, huge quantities of food banks around, over 1000 last I heard. Young people mainly in dead-end jobs that aren't even permanent enough to qualify for a mortgage, kids living with their parents, they can't escape, any wonder mental health issues are multiplying.

Every idiot in the country utterly convinced the UK PLC can't afford healthcare, education etc. etc. even though we can bomb as many countries in the Middle East as we decree are worthy of receiving our bombs.

Meanwhile, the well to do continue to consider taxation an inconvenience they can do without and generally do not pay.

Financial prostitute countries like Switzerland & Ireland have nothing to learn from the UK, the world specialist at producing tax havens in former colonies and crown dependencies, the previous PM's father ran an offshore tax scheme for a company that never paid a single penny of UK tax FFFS.

So, no Shan ................ no surprise at all. Doesn't make the leeches who want the poor to fund the services they enjoy any more palatable or worthy of anything approaching respect for their greedy wealth. That Louis Hamilton is a proper cun't, I hope he crashes his F1 car, or any other car, his private jet, whatever and dies ......... the parasite.

That moronic statement is strictly speaking accurate but the sort of puerile bullshit that makes silly little proles think that there is a real difference in tax avoidance and tax evasion. Again strictly speaking there is one, in practice and real life they are one and the same.

I see Maam's & RaChookieEmbra's eldest nipper, Chuck, is following in her footsteps and making morally unjustifiable investments & in his case dubious public utterances which may be financially beneficial.

The talk about Royal funds on the News, every fu'cking penny the result of privilege bestowed upon them by the country.
