Funnily enough, I was wondering whether the Inst scrum half was the Grandson of the guy who coached me mini rugby many years ago and Gusher obliged...

I like Jim but today he has lost the run of himself. Mrs T left in disgust as, instead of commentary, it was simply a reference session to everyone who has ever played on either team.
Mind you the ref has just become the biggest clown of the day with an outrageous yellow card. Dickhead.

Did the ref blow early at the end because he played too long at half time? Did he forget it's 35 min halves?
Yellow was harsh yea. Second half was like the Alamo, except with privileged Belfast grammar school chaps.

Wrong times? Backs to the wall? Dodgy yellow and a dodgier ref?

Distinct lack of skill on display. Just big lumps trucking it up the middle only to be stopped by other big lumps.

There were tries there for both sides if they had gone beyond the first receiver every once in a while
Even worse was the BBC chube who asked Les at half-time what other countries thought of our Schools' Cup. Aye, cos Michael Cheika and Steve Hansen were definitely watching that game with real interest

That actually surprised me a bit. Inst have a very good set of backs but they were jittery in the first half and had zero ball in the second. Campbell's tactic seemed to be give it to the big Aussie lad at every available opportunity and see if he can punch a hole in the defence. Inst didn't have all that many 'big lumps', they just tackled well.

Glad to see Inst win, lesser of two evils I guess
Referee was a right tube, could have ruined the match completely, yellow card was a disgrace.
