I hope the boys can carry that second half performance into the Connacht game and not go back into their shells.

Jokeshop. How did all these fans get into the ground? There has to be an investigation. Aviva staff complying.
An insult to all Ulster fans.
They were permitted in by the EPCR.
Who makes these decisions for EPCR?

Is it one person with freedom/authority to do so, or do they get referred back to a small group/committee?

Joke-shop whatever way it's done.

Massive difference between age grade and playing the European champions in the heiny.
Burns has been “playing” 10 all his life and is still shyte.
Same would apply to him playing scrum half  For a lad just turned 21 today not really, widely touted as good at out half as a scrum half, though I've always considered him better at 9.
Erm  no idea what that means.
Standup "How the fcuk can a player move to an unfamiliar position"

No.9 "I'm going to say this slowly, it's not an unfamiliar position for him"
I syill read it at normal speed (for me anyway). Did I miss anything?

And I have already explained this so I will say it again, playing 10 at age grade is completely different to playing the European champions in the Heineken cup, so yes it is unfamiliar! Yet he was still far better than the incumbent. Comparing playing 10 at age grade or a few minutes in the URC to playing 10 in this match, especially with the added pressure of the last two performances, is fcuking foolish. I’m a little surprised at you 9er, your posts are usually a little more sensible than this.
You're rattled

I've made no mention of the current incumbent. I'd give Flannery a run, we don't know whether he is better than Burns or not but I'd prefer to die knowing either way. The current bench selection policy of not having a specialist 10 should be brought into question..... it states Burns is playing a full 80, if he doesn't we'll fill a hole until 80 minutes. An out half coming on can change the dynamics of a game, McFarland is missing the obvious. I don't think the benefit of sacrificing the specialist 10 slot on the bench outweighs the positives. Flannery covers full back also if need be.

Given Lowry has played a lot more rugby at ten recently its interesting that we went for Doak there ahead of him. I'm guessing it must be something they've been trying a lot in training?

I don't agree that Burns is terrible, but he has been playing through injury in the last couple of games. We really need a plan B. I've thought Flannery has looker like a decent option too, from what little I've seen. Would like to see more of him.
Burns isn't terrible, he's a cracking player, like you say he has clearly been playing through an injury for a couple of weeks. From what I've heard he's very highly rated by the coaches and also the players, who I have heard think he's a class act and sorely under-rated...

I hear he eats raw meat and runs through brick walls in training. Unfortunately someone slips a lump of kryptonite into his smalls before each match.

Johnny Sexton has a mole in the camp. He thinks Burns is a cracking player and doesn’t want to be upstaged so his spy makes sure Burns is nobbled.

Think one of the biggest limitations of Burns for my money is his kicking from hand. It's almost seems like since that missed touch for Ireland he's always being massively over cautious with his touch finders. Given what a weapon our maul usually is makes it worse. Doak was exceptional in that aspect today. Maybe he or Cooney should be doing the kicks for touch from penalties BAU?
