Clancy should have yellow carded himself for obstructing a tackler ........ but I'll bet he didn't!ulsterrugby4life wrote:Might bring a wee smile to some of ur faces

To have us all slegging from the same hymn sheet would the 5 who voted without due thought or prudence either withdraw their votes or name themselves and take the flak.
None it seems have voted that it would be acceptable for darling George to apologise but then again whats done is done and whats won is won and whats lost is lost and gone forever and apology or not He is what He is
Bagster for the tongue in and out of cheek humour still chuckling

Happy to have amused a few Norm but sadly at great personal cost. Apparently with all the slings & arrows that I have batted away in the past I am now labelled a bigot by the good shepherd Bopeep, who has turned up missing for the last few hours, presumably tending to the needs of her flock.namron wrote:I take a day off the site and look what happens - Clancy mayhem . Still at least Kendal has come to his senses from an initial position of outrage.

You wouldn't be so sure of what Blow In ? I'm pretty certain there is a lot you wouldn't be sure of as you are a blithering "bafoon" (who could forget that classic eh Blow In?) but since this relates to me perhaps you would be so good as to elucidate that thought?Ulster throw in wrote:Wouldnt be so sure Bigoty Trousers.

Re: Should Clancy referee another Ulster Game ?
Clancy was simply biased against Ulster. It is more than being a bad referee which he undoubtedly is and has proved several times in the past (in fact every match he refs). No on Friday night he was quite simply biased against Ulster. His display has probably cost us a home SF in the league and possibly a place in the top 4 at all. Its not the first time he has "done us over" and by reading the previous posts it won't be the last. Not worth UR making a formal complaint IMO, look at the Scarlets complaining last year - it was embarrassing. I don't want UR seen in the same light.

Re: Should Clancy referee another Ulster Game ?
Agreed on all counts Hardyin, why some may feel it is unrealistic that any person including a rugby referee may not have some prejudices in life is pushing credulity to the limit, most people that I have met do, whether they are blatant about it or less than conscious of it.
I cannot believe other than Clancy has a bee in his bonnet about Ulster for reasons unknown, I take an evidence based approach to life and am happy to trust the evidence of my own eyes with George. I had thought he has shown some signs of improvement in one or two HC games this year, then we had Friday night.
Despite the obvious fact that we all see refs actions from a natural bias in favour of our own team, having rewatched the game at great personal harm, there is no doubt in my mind that he did not ref the same situations evenly for both teams.
I would be embarrassed it UR even considered an official complaint. Authorities must back refs whether they are right or wrong, if not there will no refs. So when we see performances like Arrogant George gave on Friday we have to suck it up and chalk it up to experience.
