Re: Payne
is there a case for the Payne at 13 experiment being linked to the RWC squad? Payne's coverage of 15/13 makes him the best squad option as backup / challenger to Kearney and a further centre option should we not have found a BoD option by that stage. post RWC...will anyone be arsed about him playing centre?

Re: Payne
He's not a centre. It's sad I keep trying to remember his performance at Franklin's Gardens but all I can think of is him costing us the game v Saracens.
Don't think I'll ever forgive him.

The entire Payne to 13 selection is D4-centred, with the focus on RWC.

Re: Payne
@thepain15 still on Twatter, anyone fancy calling themselves @thpain13 just incase he decides to change that for a full transformation from Fullback to center, Cool FM said this morning that the Ulster center Jihad Payne had been called up to the Irish squad
“That made me feel very special and underlined to me that Ulster is more than a team, it is a community and a rugby family"

Re: Payne
Payne was always a good squad option even staying at 15 with the knowledge that he could cover 13 in an emergency… this experiment has in my opinion run its course (except my opinion doesn't count) and it will continue until at least the AI's when it is realised that Payne is nothing special at 13. He should push Kearney for the 15 slot and let 13 take care of itself...rorybestsbigbaldnoggin wrote:Loki wrote:is there a case for the Payne at 13 experiment being linked to the RWC squad?
