He's not a centre. It's sad I keep trying to remember his performance at Franklin's Gardens but all I can think of is him costing us the game v Saracens.

The entire Payne to 13 selection is D4-centred, with the focus on RWC.

Payne was always a good squad option even staying at 15 with the knowledge that he could cover 13 in an emergency… this experiment has in my opinion run its course (except my opinion doesn't count) and it will continue until at least the AI's when it is realised that Payne is nothing special at 13. He should push Kearney for the 15 slot and let 13 take care of itself...
