I agree, that it is hard to see the downside of that one, but it will inevitably temper the amount of cooperation between our worthy representatives and the mainland parties.Once a Knight wrote:big mervyn wrote: If any UK party goes into a formal coalition with any of our numpties, the peace process will be away to feck.

You mean we could lose the high functioning beacon of democracy and positive politics that is the Stormont Assembly?
You predicting that the Sinners are going to take their seats then Russ?Russ wrote:326TheElephantMan wrote:Both well short of a majority..............................WHAT figure is a majority?
UKIP may be a bigger threat to the Tories than the SNP is to Labour.Once a Knight wrote:All interesting Mervyn. Much more so if the pollsters actually had a clue how to model this particular election. Hence my question to Russ about the source of his data. I have been following politics as a "subject" for 35 years and can't think of a comparable general election. My best guess is Tories the largest party with some form of coalition. The SNP is the game changer - like I told you back at the time of the Independence vote.big mervyn wrote:Couple of interesting sites

Yeah I feel this will be inevitable. The lib dems are not going into another coalition with the tories. It has nearly destroyed them.big mervyn wrote:I fancy a minority labour government as things stand. There should be enough left of centre minority parties to allow that to happen without a formal coalition.
