According to Sky.....Earlier this year, Borthwick was approached by Ulster who were interested in making the former England lock their head coach.
The Rugby Football Union took the unusual step of making a statement in which they said Borthwick "had not applied for any other coaching roles since he joined England in 2016".

Fake news. If Borthwick was our no.1 target then we might as well go home.

NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

They did sound out AN Other as well but he also said no thanks so at best count Gibbes was third or maybe fourth choice.. anyhow I think Dan is the man and will do a good job although for now he looks a bit like pip standing on the roadside watching training thru his binoculars and going thru bins to check the plays whilst skilfully staying out of the way of Mr Dickson and his long lens... can't wait to see if he is in the box come Gloucester..scrum5 wrote:According to Sky.....Earlier this year, Borthwick was approached by Ulster who were interested in making the former England lock their head coach.

He'll be grand. A week on the URSC stand then a week with the minis and Subprick and he'll be back in 2 weeks.

Never wrestle with a pig. You end up covered in muck and the pig loves it.
Re: Dan McFarland
Ahh FFS, I’d managed to forget about Subprick... cheers Dave
