I see Leah Lyons, the irish women's rugby player, was subjected to awful abuse during their game in Donnybrook, D4, Dublin, Leinster.

I suppose the problem is that they should be playing hockey.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

She plays for Highfield, now if she played for Mullingar Heifers that would have been an OK comment.

A phrase like "go on ya big heffer" to the older generation can be a term of endearment

Calling someone a fecking fat heffer would not be a term of endearment

So context matters and context is always missing on twatter

That's basically something Rum would say. The point is, if that happened in Ravers there would be outcry. People would set up twitter accounts with handles like '@sexist_Ulster_crowd_Warren Gatland' etc. Hastag #notmyprovince and #Warren Gatland.

This was D4 so now it's just some harmless aul fella or a lone wolf with mental health problems.

I'm fairly sure I've called every member of the Ulster men's team worse than that. Avoiding doing so because she is a woman would be sexist.

NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.
