Agreed and somehow I don't think we've signed Wilson as a bench warmer for an NIQ. May be wrong but I think one of the reasons he's come home is to have a crack at the Ireland 8 shirt.

Yeah but also are we going to sign an NIQ 7 that forces CH to the bench for the big games? I don't see the point in wasting NIQ positions on squad players, in that case are we not better going after someone like Dominic Ryan or Kevin McLaughlin rather than a South African or Kiwi who fulfil the same role as backup.

Anscombe is a back row specialist - we'll have to rotate our back row all next season - everyone will get games, why it hasn't been done so much of late unless forced upon us was that we don't have the quality on the bench as we do on the field. If Robbie has turned a corner due to getting his act together in other areas as I heard via some dogs, that's good, but we need 5 or 6 solid backrowers ranging from 1F to class standard.

Exactly!!

We need depth at back row and we haven't really rotated much in outback row this season due to a lack of depth.

We could have a top back row in every game next season with a top NIq signing. We then would be able to give rest to CH, Ferris etc while keeping a very good team on the park.

That's the aim.

I hate it when people hint at knowing something but nothing more than that, I'm dieing to know know who the new signing is, can't wait.

Chances are its going to be a very good player because there would be zero point in filling up a NIQ place with a decent or average player. Especially when we have concentrated on signing quality foreign imports.

Like I said, can't wait to find out who it is.

Initially I would have thought a 6 or an 8 but now that Henry has provided evidence that he may be Ireland's answer at 7 then maybe we need cover there for the AI's and 6 nations.

Someone has popped onto PR this morning.

Bare in mind I could have interpreted the hints wrong.

I'd take him ... can play second row too! But I'd prefer Alberts, Botes, Cotzee, Kankoswski or Daniel - says a lot that a player of Deysel's quality can't get game time, though he's still injured.
