Leading 10 3 v Scaaaarlets in 2nd half. Game is on TG4/S4C. Welsh TMO might as well be wearing a Scaaarlets shirt, 2 okay tries denied for the Westies.

Finished 21 19 to Scaarlets. Westies got back ahead 19 18 with 2 mins to go, but then gave up a pen and yc for lifting a man above the horizontal. TMO will no doubt be talked about with the 2 non tries.

The Russians beat Newcastle in the Challenge Cup in the Westies's pool. Win for the galway men today in Brive wins them the pool.

Brive bt Connacht 21 18 with last kick of game. Connacht have the Russians at home next week. Need Newcastle to bt Brive to win pool. Should qualify as a 2nd place.

Young Finlay Bealham, who I believe was formerly of this parish, part of a Connacht pack destroying the Scarlets scrum.

Another TH Clarke couldn't/wouldn't develop.

Big Dave world class :)
Never wrestle with a pig. You end up covered in muck and the pig loves it.

Rodney Ah You looking powerful in both tight and loose in his second half appearance. May do Ok here next year. Good win for Connacht - top of the league!

True enough. And Buckley had already done a demolition job before being subbed. Still - Rodney looked quite trim and less blubbery than before. He can only play what's in front of him and you can't really critisize him for a god game.
