Helluva of grafter, was our Sean. He came here as a bit of a hopeful signing. His mate Raaymakers didn't hang around. He must have been the top tackler in the league for a season or two. Wishing him all the best.

Sean Reidy, unlike other Kiwis at Ulster actually heading home after his time here is over. Other lads got lost in England and France.

Sean was up there with Louis Ludik as being a consistent grafter leaving it all out there in every match. We will miss him!
Forever an Ulsterman - good luck and happy trails Sean!

If a player ever deserved a proper send off in front of his home fans, it was Sean. Cracking player that will be missed.

For a while when Timoney was starting out, Reidy was the only decent backrowers on Ulsters books.

One of the most consistent players in the last 4 or 5 seasons. Always put in a performance.

Nothing more to add to what has already been said about Sean Reidy - for a player who wrote to all the provinces asking for a trial (so his Wiki page has it), he's done more than enough for Ulster and put plenty of effort and grunt into improving both on and off the pitch. A really crucial player filling that post-Chris Henry gap. And even though he's 33, pleased to see that the C-M team/province he came from in NZ are happy to have him back for a couple of years. Perhaps he can point a few of their better ones our way too ?

But he did get a bit of a send-off last Friday night. At half-time in the match, he, along with David O'Connor, Ross Kane and Mick Kearney were all interviewed at some length by the ?Q Radio guy? about their time with Ulster etc etc. And whilst all of them were appreciated by the crowd (particularly in the New Old Grandstand and Terrace), it was pretty clear who was the most appreciated..... He's obviously got to leave his Belfast house, but I'd like it cleared up whether he's leaving his Belfast dog. Perhaps another one to add to the Hendo and John Andrew dog-walking group ?

Finally, a nice touch by Jonny Petrie and Dan McF to do this - I think it's the first time I've seen players who are being released/transferred to sides at a lower level being treated in this manner. Lots of celebrated retirees get this sort of treatment, so good to see UR remembering how to generate some good publicity amongst the playing community. Whilst not tearing up trees in the manner of Hendo etc, Mick Kearney, Ross Kane and David O'Connor never shirked their task in a white/red/gold/turquoise/purple/red & white hooped shirt. All the best to all of them and thank you.
