Re: Munster 2012/13
I miss the days when a touring team would show up at Ravers for a token match - I can't remember the last time that happened. Seems strange that Munster believe that they were entitled to have this happen though. Not a bad idea for the November matches to spread around the four provinces. Certainly would be better than the yearly mugging I go through to get to dublin stay and watch a usually lackluster game (ok a fair amount goes to beer)
But they did get the Wolfhounds match last year. Does that mean we can expect the Wolfhounds to appear at RAVERS post redevelopment?

Pythagoras , bullshît from someone who knows feck all about Belfast . Club from the Shankill folded some time ago. Due to lack of playing numbers and the fact the area is more working class than middle class, Pythagoras , you really should thank the British for bringing rugby to the Garrison towns, with Limerick having the largest Garrison.pythagoras wrote:If Belfast was a rugby town the way Limerick is you'd haveJackie Brown wrote:Londonderry would be told to go fish, hypothetically of course.
Belfast is the commercial and economic heart of Ulster. Londonderry with an Urban population of 93000 and Belfast with 483000. (Thanks Wikipedia)
You center it in your major population center, that's how your business will work best. Rugby is a business. Only in Munster would they equate what is a large town (Limerick) with the hub of the province (Cork).
Now, how do you quantify a rugby tradition?

Turnip land doesn't do postcodes. They tried, but would rather invest in 2 trainings bases instead

Unfortunately I believe that the powers that be plan to give us postcodes.Russ wrote:Turnip land doesn't do postcodes. They tried, but would rather invest in 2 trainings bases instead
I'm not happy about it.
You wouldn't believe the advantages that flow from being able to put down one's address in a half dozen different ways.
Also the people who are pushing for it are the insurance companies and various other entities who want to be able to tidy up their databases.
