Right to play being " the team who kicks can only play the ball after it has been caught by an opponent or the ball has bounce .
Thus after Cave had kicked the ball he would have had to wait for a Munster player to catch it or for the ball to bounce . Therefore the collision would not have occurred because he would have to wait for "the right to play " not contest a 50/50 ball.
It is only really an extension of the off side law applied within the area of the pitch between the 22 s and in fact easier to police than the offside law .
