Fleg

shout Discrimination

and you can get anything you want

Persecution of a minority is another option

Rugby being a minority sport

As a public Broadcaster the BBC has to cater to everyone .

And the fact is Sports are
the Cheapest programmes to broadcast

a few cameras and a handful of pundits

Hark ye all at ould Godwin Clawcuncte, the poster as old as the Magna Carta.

Ron'n, are you aware of the children's song, "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas". I have adapted it for you especially:

"Oh, I want to hit a pradasint for Christmas"

You are again playing the part of the thunderously stupid arsehole, with your bullshit about the BBC choosing not to cover your sport as if they have made that decision. To all but the terminally stupid, your beef is with the PRO14.

Be off with you ya feckin' omadon of a fu@kwitted dullard.

Armed with my new Superhero Status I went into a bank at lunch time ... shouted "Discrimination" and tried to lift a few 100K out of the vault ... imagine my surprise when it didn't work!!!! ... I was even more deflated to find out Paddy hadn't tried to draw me or colour it in!

Baggy

Of course they made a choice Baggy .

The choice being they didn't want to buy it at the price being asked .

I don't for a minute consider Pro14 opted for Premier TV because they were willing to pay less than BBC .

And I 'm sure the in stadium advertisers are jumping with joy that they no longer are on free to view and a Broadcaster with limited appeal .

And to some extent the sponsors could dictate the choice of Broadcaster at some point in time .

The BBC prefers to run a top heavy Home Counties organisation catering to a cultural elite with overpaid tax evading self employed ?presenters employed by mock companies based in Tax Havens -
Rather than serve the licence payer .

Like all public organisations ,the BBC is designed to benefit the organisation and the higher up the organisation you are the more you benefit .

The writing was on the wall for the BBC deal once Eir got the RoI rights. I assume you can accept that the BBC had no control over that deal.
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

The days of the BBC even pretending to be impartial are long gone. They have an agenda on most matters. Watch BBC news and they only report the sport BBC covers. Certain court cases given slanted reports etc

Even at that, they don't have to cater for everyone, otherwise I wouldn't rest until they'd reinstated Junior Kick Start and One Man and His Dog.

Rugby is a minority sport as it's played by Hispanics (argies) and muslims (sonny bill).

there are more people who
play football than rugby more people play golf than play rugby .

if rugby was not a minority sport the TV rights would be similar to football and the players would command the same salaries .

unfortunately there are more rugby players in Northern Ireland and possibly more people who would like to watch it on National Television than Irish Speakers but some want Irish Speakers to be promoted and protected by an Act of Parliament what about the rights of ageing rugby fans who can no longer attend
