Re: pre-season friendlies
It will be Benetton charging that. They will have set up the paid live stream. I doubt if any of it goes to Ulster.
Joe Schmidt is a Leinster ballbag
Re: pre-season friendlies
Correct.
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!
Re: pre-season friendlies
Anyone got a list of the remaining pre-season friendlies?

Re: pre-season friendlies
First blood to Treviso. Penalty just outside the 22, kicked to the corner, then driven over from the line-out, looked a bit too easy. 18 mins gone.
Treviso have had two other clear chances, Crothers held a Treviso player up over the line, right at the start, then rhey also had a clean line break that should have been a try, but the last pass was thumbled forward.

Luke Marshall going off during the first half water break with a slight limp. Assuming it's precautionary. Fingers crossed...

Re: pre-season friendlies
Ulster try on 28 minutes, with a try in the corner after a nicely judged kick pass from (I think) Flannery. First time Ulster have strung together more than half a dozen phases, starting from a line-out inside the Treviso 22. Conversion missed. 5-5.

Re: pre-season friendlies
Ulster kick another penalty to touch about ten meters out from the Treviso line on the right. Driving maul misfires, before another set of phases right to left, and a try in the left corner after a filthy out the back offload (missed who front). Conversion missed, 5-10.

Re: pre-season friendlies
Ulster decide they're playing tag after the restart, Treviso score in the left corner after a clean line break through the middle. First conversion of the game makes it 12-10 with a minute to half time.

Re: pre-season friendlies
Pretty 'meh' first 40. Ulster managed to string together two sets of phases and scored with both. Set piece has been alright, couple of lost line outs and scrum penalties going both ways. Defensive organisation needs a bit of work, but to be expected in a pre-season friendly.
Have had an eye on Reuben Crothers in the first half. Commentary is in Italian with no replays or ability to scroll back, so take with a pinch of salt, but think his work rate has been massive. Apart from a try saving tackle, nothing he's done has stood out to me and he's made mistakes, but he's got some engine.

Re: pre-season friendlies
Tom Stewart on at half time (along with many others) and almost scores off a break from a line-out maul, stopped just short. Ulster score two phases later. Another missed kick (Doak off and missed who took it). 12-15.
