I'll see your chance and raise you a season of chances. He is not currently a great coach, he may become one, that may not happen next season, may it will, maybe you will see all that talent blossom with a good forwards coach polishing a turd and a guy who's got the tee shirt getting "the best backline in Europe" humming.

Fact is we have no feckin' idea what he's like - well, apart from my informant who saw him over here with Bristol in the Bn'I Cup. :D

Time will tell childer, time will tell.

I'm at a loss to understand some of the posters on this forum.
We are an upper mid-range Pro12 team. We are not going to attract a full set of coaches with a proven record of excellence. Same as we were never going to bring in top notch reserve scrum half to ride the pine waiting for Ruan to come off after 75.
I think we have got a clinker in Gibbes. He and Les will set the tone and strategy. Peel as Baggy says may not be a great coach at 35, but then not many are. He could be great, and if he isn't, he'll get the bum's rush out the gate.
So as the late lamented OAK used to suggest.......tighten the blazes up.
He's not actually dead by the way.

Zackly - it's his first proper coaching job.

I just hope Les takes him under his wing and leaves JG to coach the team.

BR! So , if JG is left to coach the team, what will LK be doing, mentoring a coach who is still being developed.

I like that idea. But then I'm not Les's number 1 fan.

I'm still not convinced about Les either.

Said it before I'll say it again and again, he has been spancelled by UR giving him Dumb & Dumber. My information is that they have both attempted "clique building" and both have independently attempted to undermine the boss for their own reasons.

With his own coaching team, he has nowhere to go if it doesn't work.

e-geek Nice work by the way.

So, JG is really only the forwards coach (don't be fooled by the head coach title , that was a contract get out ffs) who then is going to coach the backs, especially for attack and defence, you confuse me , I alwYs thought you to be bright.

I had hoped JG would be proper Head Coach. (Leaving DP to be backs coach, supported by LK)

To state the bleeding obvious.

Barakat + Clarke + Doak + Malone = 4

Gibbes + Peel + Malone + _______ = ____

I'd be surprised if our coaching line up is complete for next season.

So was Barakat not simply a way for Kiss to exert control on the errant Doak and Clarke, after all?

We've no game for two weeks, stop getting to the end point. This needs to last a while.
