Closing date for applications extended by a further week!

I wonder are they waiting for someone in particular to make a late application?

Or has no one applied at all?

Beats me why anyone with the criteria advertised would want a job in which he was answerable to an amateur committee.ImageImageImageImage

I don't think it is so much about being amateurs, but more about the accountability and responsibility of the people to whom the CEO is reporting into. For example, the CEO of a charity will report into trustees, who are "amateurs" (they aren't getting paid) but there is a formal process to appoint a trustee and they have legal responsibilities for their role. The UB website doesn't even appear to say who is on the Professional Management Committee.

An unenviable position if ever there was one and whomsoever steps into this role will have some serious issues to deal with from the off.
well yes, whoever the Connacht CEO is has been so conspicuously successful in sorting them out - I mean FFS, talk about slow learners??? (assuming this isn't just a rumour of course...)

To be fair considering what he has to work with it is hard to hudge the man though i wouldn't personally be keen. As i said an unenviable situation awaits the successor, MR really has left the place in a bad state, should have got the boot long long ago. I retract previous good wishes to the man.
Think you're being very harsh and unfair to MR there RHH.
