Some people say I used to be called Colzo. Don't listen to them people, I talk much less sense than Colzo.
Re: Matt McCollough
I don't believe he has a contract next year.
The statement would be typical McCullough though - the man never knows when to quit.
It is part of the reason he is bit of a Ravenhill favourite

Re: Matt McCollough
I think he hasn't been offered a contract yet because it's still unclear whether he'll have the fitness required to play.
Aine, he had lower back issues as far as I can remember, although I stand to be corrected

Re: Matt McCollough
Big Matt was a sound player who could have got a good few international caps if it had not have been for that car accident in Canada (or USA).
I wish him all the best if this is the end of his pro career.

Re: Matt McCollough
Spoke to him 2 weeks ago and his words were that Ulster is full for next year so won't be with them but also hopes to prove his fittness again and find somewhere else. He also said Ulster had stopped treating him but were paying his wages until the end of his contract. Really sound big player, as someone said always gave his all for Ulster, would be great to see him back playing somewhere.

Re: Matt McCollough
Does anyone know is Matt's, Tamaiti Horua or and of shifty's injuries meant that their wages were covered by insurance. If so surely we should have a big load of money sitting there for a defense coach? but nope we dont

I heard Horuas was covered, also heard B Mc didn't rate him at all.

Re: Matt McCollough
Sad to see him go. He's Ulster through and through and a real Terrace favourite. Him beatin Martin Johnson in the Lineout will live long in the memory. I too heard it was a lower back problem which was missed by the medical boys and the delay in treatment seems to not have helped much.
On a positive note he's getting married soon, may even be this Friday, can't remember what I was told. Best wishes to him and the soon to be new Mrs McCullough (currently Miss Evangelista)

It may be that Colins plays rugby with a guy who is bigger than him who got annoyed at Colins posting information given in confidence.

Re: Matt McCollough
I never saw an Ulster side lacking in guts for the fight when Matt played. Amongst other things Matt will be remembered for getting well under the skin of that London Irish prat Delon Armitage - the spide - and his Aussie,Irish,English boss the hated Brian Smith.
Good luck Matt.
