New Shirt?
Is there a new shirt to be launched for next season?
Current version/model has seen 2 seasons now, surely from a commercial viewpoint releasing and selling to fans a new shirt on a regular enough basis makes financial sense...
Anyone in the know who knows anything?
What about the dogs, are they concentrating that hard on the Ruan Pienaar/will Rush stay will Rush go/has the new CEO fudged his C.V. issues that they've missed what could potentially be the most important bit of off-season business Ulster Rugby is to conduct this summer???

Re: New Shirt?
According to the latest Stand Up, the URSC Committee have had a sneak preview of the new kit.:
Kukri: We have been extended the courtesy of previewing the new Ulster kit for season 2010 –11,
by Terry Jackson, Mr Kukri in Ulster. During what turned into a very informative exchange the possibility of membership discounts for internet shopping and the provision of limited editionKukri merchandise was discussed. Watch this space for more developments
Re: New Shirt?
Spoke to Terry Jackson( MD Kukri Sport) recently and he said that there is a new shirt for next season along with a host of other kit, due out sometime in July.........

Also a Baby-Blue Heineken jersey which we have technically had all along, but we have to wear it next season.

Ah but everyone has to have a special Heineken shirt for next season, so could well be all of those teams ;-)BR wrote:Well - that's our HEC pool decided then - Cardiff, Bath and Castres it is!tomodaman_2 wrote:Also a Baby-Blue Heineken jersey which we have technically had all along, but we have to wear it next season.
I'm imagining a similar sort of colour to the Ireland training jersey.

Re: New Shirt?
URSC members should be getting a chance to preview and option to advance order shortly. Just finalising details with retailer.

Apparently all the red shirts have been bought up by the poor in Thailand so no more available. They chose red because apart from the bullet wholes it remains wearable after those nice Thai soldiers have murdered you.what's this blue shirt malarky?

Was chatting with one of the Kukri boys at the warehouse sale.WhiteKnightoftheWeld wrote:what's this blue shirt malarky?
Told me that from next season, teams will have to wear a special jersey for Heineken games. While we have always technically had a change-shirt for the Heineken, I think we only wore it away to Stade.
But from next season, from what I could gather, it'll be compulsory to wear it for all matches, unless there's a colour clash.
And ours will be a light blue colour.

Re: New Shirt?
Rampant commercialism at its worst - Stade have a lot to answer for, other than being gouging, garlic reeking Frenchmen - they have clearly introduced the notion of some tarted up kit that is in no way representative of the club or the region represented. Light Blue - what does that say about Ulster? SFA in mine.
At least if we had produced something similar to the HC 99 shirt it would have had some history & something to be proud of.
This IS a disgrace. Yes really - a disgrace!
