Where to Stay - Northampton, MK or elsewhere
Where will you be basing yourself for the weekend?
If it's elsewhere please be specific.
cheers

Re: Where to Stay - Northampton, MK or elsewhere
would it be easier to stay in MK for traveling back and forth to the stadium instead of going a longer distance back to northampton?

I'll be booking into Northampton as it's a rugby town, there'll be transport to MK, and that's where the vast majority of Ulster fans will be based, and some people on the Saints forum are doing the same thing.

Re: Where to Stay - Northampton, MK or elsewhere
just booked Hilton Northampton.
situated just off M1 so about 5 miles from N'hampton centre.
But got a deal which you can get online - £55.50 for a room with buffet brekkie included - room includes 2 queen beds. price is for the room, not per head!
24 hour bar as well, sauna and steam room, indoor swimming pool, pay channels on the TV...

Re: Where to Stay - Northampton, MK or elsewhere
was it you or londonredhand i met in bath? in the boater pub?
or to put it another way - have you got a massive nose?
im sure about price for room. £55.50 per room per night.
price is for room containing 2 x queen beds. i did list how many people would be staying; this not a factor though.
it includes buffet breakfast, which i will destroy.
did you book online? there was a special rates tab you needed to click...

the whiteknightoftheweld now desires more than a steel framed bunk bed with internet access and a kettleSurrey Red Hand wrote:thought you only did hostels
hilton will be giving me a queen bed, those extra-pay-for channels on the TV, a cooked breakfast served up in a help yourself format, those extra-pay-for channels on the TV, indoor swimming pool, steam room, jacuzzi, sauna, those extra-pay-for channels on the TV, a 24 hour bar, and those extra-pay-for channels on the TV.
and at the great rate i was given information about... it works out pretty similar to what i paid in bath for bed (hostel) and breakfast (cafe Saturday/weatherspoons Sunday).

Re: Where to Stay - Northampton, MK or elsewhere
hmmm well yes.
going to bath with mrs whiteknightoftheweld for a few days.
instead of an £8 a night hostel, she's opted for a £130 a night Macdonald Bath Spa hotel. flabbergasted.
there's a happy medium, and the hilton will fill that void very nicely...

Re: Where to Stay - Northampton, MK or elsewhere
We've booked the cheap (and hopefully cheerful enough) Ibis in Northampton - £48 per night for 2 of us.
It's central to everything I believe, including the train station (easy link from Birmingham).
