A search shows the line to come from a Loyalist/Rangers song called Father's Advice - no idea where it is though.

It's an alternative to AA, RAC, Green Fleg etc.

Can't find any match or even a phonetic match in a townland gazetteer.

I'd suspect either a transcription error at some point or that it is a townland with a 'local' name. There are shed loads of them.

The only reason I wouldn't agree with LKOTP about it being made up is the fact that in the meter of it is easily matched by proper places.

Googling the song leads to some... "Colourful" places. :(

Could it be Kilrea in Co.DERRY ? They are travelling nice distances afterall, Belfast to Armagh, Ballymena to Old Omagh town.
I can't believe theres an old and new Crossgar.

There's also an Upper Crossgare (townland)
