Ulster VS Edinburgh HC SF

Post by pip14 »

Here we go guys, 6 days to go to Ulsters biggest game in 12 years (so far)
Just had to create a new topic about it because I can't wait till the game!!!

35,000 Ulster fans singing "Stand up for the Ulster Men" What an occasion it will be!
Hopefully all the players are fit on both sides an it will be a great match!!

Also to note its due to be a sunny day in Dublin on Saturday so hopefully lots of running rugby!!!

SUFTUM
You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.

35,000?! There'll be 50,000 in the ground singing it (to hell with the ticket sales figures), and about 500 confused Jocks, who are too intimidated NOT to sing.

We're gonna bring the house down. Bring it down so bad the IRFU are going to be writing to Ulster Branch looking for them to pay for it, and UB will reply with "We'll sell you Ravenhill."

SPORTS FANS ALL OVER THE WORLD WILL BE ON THEIR FEET

All together now

STAND UP FOR THE ULSTERMEN,
STAND UP...

Can't wait. The noise should be ferocious, the game should be classy and hopefully the result will go the right way! :red:
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

By the way have Edinburgh any injury problems and just how strong are they likely to be. Have they a fair quantity of intertnationals playing. Just asking!

From the mutterings on both sides it looks like we will both be fielding out strongest sides (ban apart), so should be a cracker. It may get a bit quiet though when 45,000 Ulstermen sit down as Edinburgh sneak it.....

First post
Can't describe how much I'm looking forward to this one.I hope we are all in fine voice, will be an awesome sight!

On the match itself alot will depend on the breakdown and how Mr Poite decides to ref it.If we can get the ball recycled quickly and not get drawn into a war of attrition we can definately score tries against this Edinburgh team. The danger is getting drawn into a slow ball slugfest as I think this would suit Edinburgh down to the ground and leave us in for a tense evening.

Saturday is the perfect advert for ulster to show the world what we are mad of,fans included so let's get Dublin rocking!

I agree. It'll be a great day out for Edinburgh, I really hope they enjoy the occasion.

Really doesn't take much success for me to turn into a Leinster fan.

Gutted to not be going, the thieves at RyanAir put paid to that.. but I will be at local hostellry drinking and shouting myself horse. I do have flights booked for Twickenham though

I think Standup28 has nailed it regarding the breakdown, but underestimate Denton, Talei and Rennie at your peril... in fact stay tuned, for a masterclass is being delivered Saturday early evening, and once you are sitting down you can really enjoy the lesson!
