Pro12 11/12 Attendances
Regular season attendances and change from last season.
(the Pro12 website doesn't yet have the attendance for the Ulster v Leinster game but I've used the figure on the BBC website for this)
Leinster still the best supported team. Ulster's attendances were overtaken by the Scarlets but Cardiff's attendances decreased dramatically so Ulster remain 4th. The big success story was Connacht who doubled their crowds and went from the worst supported team last season to overtake the Scottish and Italian teams.

Brilliant performance by Connacht, really pleased to see that, all credit to everyone there who has contributed to this. Probably the worst news is the bottom two, we need Italian teams that are making progress each year. Ulster have a bit of a problem in that until Ravenhill is fully developed they can't really market hard because of all the upheaval that will ensue, the sooner the redevelopment is completed the better.

Re: Pro12 11/12 Attendances
can we not give Connacht a year-end prize for their increase. That's an incredible crowd-pulling performance.
Hat's off to yee westies: obviously Niall O'Connor has them pouring through the turnstiles

Move forward to an 18K stadium.ColinM wrote:HEC rugby saw massive increase in ST sales to folks wanting guaranteed entry to the pool games. Good this is set to continue agian this coming season
Stadium not full = tickets available for pool games = reduced ST sales?

Think he's referring to Connacht.UIBF wrote:Move forward to an 18K stadium.ColinM wrote:HEC rugby saw massive increase in ST sales to folks wanting guaranteed entry to the pool games. Good this is set to continue agian this coming season

Out of interest, how big is the Sportsground? 5,000? 6,000?
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

They had over 9,000 for the Toulouse game.ruckover wrote:Out of interest, how big is the Sportsground? 5,000? 6,000?
BTW when will the Ravenhill development be completed?
Do you think you can fill it?
