Kidney is a clown.
Picks the out-of-form, injured and past-it ROG, doesn't pick Jackson.
Picks 2 scrum halves only. Neither of which is the form scrum half in Ireland.
Doesn't pick a full-back.

From an Ulster perspective, could have been worse.

No Paul Marshall or Gilroy. Not surprised re Gilroy tbh, but what does Smallp got to do?.... shocker. But not unhappy tbh.. the less we lose the better imo. Ulster benchwarmers..
I make it 10 Ulster, 10 Leinster, 9 Munster, 2 Connacht?
Wonder TOL didnt reappear... No Deccie Fitz either? And Paddy Mac must be gutted, since Kilcoyne made it. I thought the Connacht Loosie Buckley would've been given a shout tbh.. looks better than "Killer".. just noticed, where's the other tighthead backup to Ross? Not TC again

Actually seems to be a fair bit of surprise from our friends in other provinces that Marshall, P. isn't included.

Sh*t missed that PJ wasn't picked... couldn't be doing that, could Kidders.. couldnt have a majority of Ulstersmen now biys...Amiga500 wrote:Kidney is a clown.

Poor.. form means little I see.. Perfect opportunity for some of the Connacht and Ulster boys to be tried... DOC and ROG again FFS?!
Gutted for Smallp tbh.

I'm amazed. I thought even the buffoon that is Kidney would have been unable to avoid picking wee Paul. Bring on the new coach.

Truth is he doesn't have a full back to pick
Which makes a possible back line of
Earls Bowe BoD D'Arcy Trimble Sexton Redden
Given DK Zebo or Mc Fadden will be more likely than Trimble
RoG was always going to get the call before Jackson Madigan and Keatley would get the call before Jackson
And to honest Jackson is better not being picked at the moment because he would not be considered for a match day 22/23
When I saw Marshall my first take was beagle but it's not it's Luke which is a surprise
Of the over 33s only PW in the back line has gone D'arcy ,BoD and RoG will be collecting their pensions sooner than being dropped but the latter two have hopes ? of being picked for the Lions tour
But D/L will be in his element with that squad

Re: Ireland squad for AI's
Hmm. Could that be because PW is the only one of those three who has probably never appeared on his own, in a free poster in a newspaper... If you see what I mean?
I know it's kinda an unpopular view, but I'm convinced Ireland squads are picked with an eye to "celebrity value" and that the buck doesn't stop with the head coach.

IF you mean DuffY that would be further waste of hotel space.

No. I don't mean Gavin Duffy.rumncoke wrote:IF you mean DuffY that would be further waste of hotel space.
Although, in saying that, it'd be better having him in there than having removing a wing and playing them out of position.

Why would Paddy Mac be gutted? He's out for the season ...by CIMANFOREVER » Wed Oct 24, 2012 12:04 pm
