Munster v Ulster Sat 29th Dec 2012 @ 5.30pm

Post by HwoodMike2umate »

Early days yet but does anyone know if there is a big or medium bus going down for this game?
Allowing for a 4 hour journey (inc short pit stop) could i suggest a 10am start to give us time in Limerick for a good few leisurely pints before the game and then depart for home 8pm sharp so as to be home by midnight.

Where does everybody usually sit/stand? First time in Thomond for a PRO12 game.
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

A Lanza crew of 3 will be on their cherry-popping trip to Thomond, but are hoping for an overnight option, if anything to avoid the return leg with Miguel de Holywood's 4 hour (inc. longer pitstops) rendition of 'the wheels on the bus go round & round ...'

URSC, we await your news.

Sorry if the URSC want to put this on, but thought I would:
THE BIG YELLOW BUSES ARE BACK!

Bookings are now open for buses to Thomond Park for the Pro 12 match against Munster on Saturday 29th December

URSC Members: Adults £30; Under 18 £20

Non members; Adults £35; Under 18 £20

You can pay in person on match nights @ the InfoPoint, or by PayPal. The link will be open this weekend.

(Excludes match ticket – see below)

Departing Montgomery Road @ 1100 prompt, arriving Thomond Park circa 1600.

Please assemble at Montgomery Road, opposite Podium Sports at 1030. This is on account of us having to load buses and ensure prompt departure at 1100. Pick ups at Sprucefield, Banbridge Outlet Centre and Newry (Armagh Road) can be arranged in advance.

Match KO @ 1730.

Coaches depart for Belfast @ 2000, arriving back in Belfast circa 0100 Sunday morning.

Group bookings will travel on the same bus. You/ your party will be allocated a bus number with your names listed at that bus. Please comply with these arrangements as it will greatly assist our stewards in arranging speedy boarding.

Fans are requested to use the same bus on the return journey.

Ticket Information:

We understand that Munster will not be releasing any tickets for general sale over the counter at Ravenhill.

Tickets can be purchased on line at: http://www.munsterrugby.ie/. If you have not purchased on line before you will need to register – this process is straightforward. Just go to the ‘Buy Tickets’ section of the site and complete provide name, address and email account.
Again I ask, where should I buy tickets for if I want to be with other Ulster fans?

Ok , Buses are departing an hour later than i'd have liked and taking an hour longer than necessary (hopefully this simply means either longer pit stop or more than one pit stop) but i'm still going. Wee Jane unlikely, Junior off to Donegal and me mates would prefer an overnight stop so i'm probably out on day release on my own.

Next issue is where am i gonna stand in the ground?

Thanks Ruckover,

HWM - surely I do not need to remind you that the conveyance of alcohol on to the bus, save that which is already consumed, and the consumption of said alcohol is a capital offence.

Bottles of Irn Bru may be subject to inspection.

Think I might do it courtesy of SWMBO taxis and a wee night in Paddy Punches.

Well Shan recommended East Terrace but Cap'n G informed me no East Terrace available so i've taken the risk & joined him on WEST TERRACE - upper central - area WTCENT. You get an actual seat number but that's presumably for the booking system. Seemed to Junior who did the booking that there were in fact still East Terrace available.
