Who takes over as Leinster coach?
Mike Ruddock? Elwood? McKenzie?

Chris Henry is superhuman... I think he's half cyborg

Might start to support Ireland again. If POM and the central contract system are removed

Re: Schimdt appointed new Ireland coach
So the Munster bias of old will be replaced with a new Leinster bias!!
Don't expect to see our Paddy anywhere near the squad now as he'll start with Sexton and have Madigan coming thru as backup. His first Irish selection will be - Kearney, Zebo, BOD, McFadden, Bowe, Sexton, Reddan, Healy, Strauss, Ross, POC, Cullen, SOB, Heaslip, Jennings.
Great!!

^^^Give the man a chance ffs.
Re: Schimdt appointed new Ireland coach
Exactly my thoughts LTHG. We needed a guy from overseas with no connection to the provinces whatsoever. As good a coach as Schmidt is, he will favour Leinster in 50/50 calls. Poor choice.
Amiga - we will give him a chance obviously, but this has Kidney mk 2 written on it in my opinion.

You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

Which means our guys won't get injured...ruckover wrote:As good a coach as Schmidt is, he will favour Leinster in 50/50 calls. Poor choice.
As long as he isn't favouring Leinster guys in 30/70 calls (POM/Earls/DOC... anyone) then I won't have a problem with him.
50/50 calls going in favour of the player he knows is not a problem (for me). Picking the player he knows instead of someone better who is in better form is different.

Schmidt does not have the same sort of loyalties either, yes he coached the side but he is not a Leinsterman, and I reckon will be driven primarily by the desire to win. Plus the Ulster boys have given him plenty to think about this season!!
And as an aside, I think 95% or more of the rugby world would have the tens in Ireland ranked as Sexton first and Madigan second, Paddy may well be left wishing he had made more of his opportunities. He will get a chance on the summer tour tho.

Re: Schimdt appointed new Ireland coach
Was happy to give him a chance. But he blew this chance when he came off with that disgraceful rant after Ulster beat Leinster last month. Was pure garbage and not a quote you would expect to hear from a world class coach.
As for Sexton, he will pick him despite going to France. Its the old D4 link.
