Ulster v Tiggers

Post by Jackie Brown »

Well the big game is fast approaching! We've got history and the whole PRL tom kite has added a whole new edge to it. U hope we bate the English pricks out the gate. My team;

15 Payne
14 Bowe
13 Cave
12 Olding
11 Trimble
10 Jackson
9 Pienaar

1 Court
2 Best
3 Afoa
4 Muller
5 Tuohy
6 Henderson
7 Henry
8 Wilson

Subs
Herring, Black, Lutton, Stevenson, Williams, Marshall, Marshall, Allen

Harsh on Skymarshall and Allen possibly. Also I see Henderson as a rower for Ulster and Ireland (he'll captain both) but he adds so much he's in!

If everyone is fit that would be the ideal team. Definitely harsh on a few players but its a big match.

With that team I would be confident.

Ravenhill will be electric. Lets finally break in the new stands!

Should we be throwing Afoa straight in there after injury? Milk Tray did well tonight, maybe Afoa on the bench would be safer. I know Afoa is a superb player and I would have him on any team 99/100, but given the fact he hasn't played competitive rugby for just over four months and the fact that Fitz held his own tonight, I would consider giving Fitz the start again.

15. Windy
14. Tbowe
13. Latte
12. Skymarshall
11. Angry Andy
10. Jacko
9. St Ruan
1. Angry Tom
2. Rory
3. Milk Tray
4. Captain
5. Chewy
6. Hendo
7. Chad
8. Ulster Rog

Subs: Herring, Nugget, BBJ, Robbie, FNW, Beagle, Olding, Gilly
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

Williams dropped from squad Jackie?
You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.

Just hope that Paynes bubbly tummy does not go through the squad this week :puker:

I'd like that team too Jackie but I doubt we will see it. Should add, how fecking great that Ruan is back where he belongs.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Paynes tummy bug sounds like smoke and mirrors to me! could he actually be an injury doubt?

Agreed on the team - tough on Luke Marshall and Diack especially.

Rockover - on the question of Afoa - if he can even last 40 -50 minute he must start. Tiggers destroying Saints at scrum time today.

Quietly confident. :red:

I'd only make one change to Jackie's choice. Not sure on Lutton and Court (injuries permitting but should be ok) Afoa will start just like Bowe and Best started against Glasgow - smoke and mirrors - Afoa will be there! It's as good a side as we could hope for, ideally a match or two together but they've all played for a whole season together so no excuses. Can't wait, Leicester put up a good fight against a strong Saints side today with Flood being a standout for me.
