English Heineken teams

Not doing all that well so far. Castres 10 3 up at halftime against Northampton. Scarlets 20 10 up against Quins at halftime. Is it possible that they overrate themselves? :stir:

Nah. It's the fear of relegation that's playing on Saints and Quinns minds

Certainly Sarries seemed to get a bit lucky last night. Connacht very close to causing an upset.

It's not that English teams are poor, it's the fact that their style of play does not work well against other teams. The bigger teams will win games every so often, but they won't win a European trophy any time soon unless they change their play.
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

English teams are just full of big bash merchants, obviously there's still some skillful players but mainly just players that are more focused on becoming bigger than one another rather than spending more time working on team plays. Just look at how our strike moves took Saints apart last year....

(1) Home advantage in the HEC is a big factor. Leicester, Saracens, Saints - all away from home. Quinn's is the real result.

(2) Whilst I acknowledge the style of the AP is one dimensional they tend to adapt. This weekend is the first time they get exposed to the looser Rabo style. Like the "Borg" they will adapt.

(3) We, of course, have rested our players for the last 6 months targeting this weekend. :duck:

I remember ROG making the same point in an interview and that weekend being proven right. The following weekend wasn't so rosy as the Rabo teams mostly played away from home.

I'll crow at the end of Round 6 and not before.
Yes you may well be right but nice to hear the SKY jingoists struggle even if only this weekend.:-)

And Filo Paulo for the absurdly overrated Blues. 22 3 after 27! No contest.:-)

Happy to see Exeter do well.
