Slice of hovis thick slice slathered in lemon curd.

Not listening to owt but I'll likely watch the oul political ballix now.

hard to believe I'm about to write this after my previous, but I'm just supping some Bushmills Irish Honey* .... to go with plain straightforward toasted soda and melted butter ..... the way nature intended.

Tried some version of Hobgoblin and also Spitfire one time. Price was really steep and they were disgusting imo, maybe was also because I discovered too late that they were out of date.
That's the problem with niche stuff
Smithwicks Winter Ale ( I think it's called) is a really smooth drink.

Sounds immense - haven't had lemon curd in an age but that's put me right in the notion!

You mean you aren't aware of lemon curds aphrodisiac qualities Grumpy? A 'slathering' as Merv nicely puts it will have me tapping + going in no time.

.......anyway, enough of that - this is a memorial thread!

Bacon and chees soda bread - Dissapointing if I'm honest. The pieces of bacon visible in the picture is about all there was. Did have a cheesey taste, but overall was just too salty (salted butter may not have helped). I may dip the remaining one and see if that works any better. But my thought at the minute is that you'd be better with normal soda bread, a few slices of cheddar and a rasher on top.

The Hobgoblin and Spitfire are good stuff if fresh, better on tap Pyearse but you are lucky all you got was a disgusting taste and not a full works clean out of yer pipes !

That Everard's stuff the tiggers were selling wasn't great. Straight onto the stout after one of those.
