Gysbert Johannes Muller, thank you

Post by breakdown »

After the disappointment of last night as started to leave, realisation has just come that thats our captains last European rugby game. Words cannot describe how magnificant a leader he has been, and his influence will be missed. Im sure hes as disappointed as the rest of us, but for him theres unfinished business in the rabo.

Johann Muller, thank you. You will be missed

In my humble opinion him and Ruan have been the best overseas players we have had, it showed in both Johann's and Ruan's emotions last night how much they have bought into the Ulster way and that they're just not here for the money. The season is still not over and there is a league to win the team should need nothing else to lift themselves for the remaining games of the season. As for Johann irreplaceable, I wait to see what rabbit Humphs pulls out of the hat.....

All of the above. But the season isn't over yet.

A truly inspirational player throughout his entire time with us. He will be sorely missed. I'm hoping his parting gift includes a Pro 12 winners medal though, because he's more than earned it!

I'd rather hold off on my thanks until he's holding a Pro 12 winners medal - he deserves to go out on that high, no man will be more focused on it.

I honestly do not think Johannes will be able to leave on this note.... it's not his style. He's not the kind of guy who could go out on this note.

For anyone who thought he was nearing his use by date yesterday told us he still has the big match performance in him and a little more.

As mentioned by someone else on another thread, in a team of giant performances yesterday Muller still stood out he was everywhere.

One more year Johannes, one more year, one more year :fleg:
