sometimes the dad has to taxi drive / watch son who has moved on to new school / club and can't actually commit to coaching anymore.

Leinster 10
Munster 8
Ulster 7
Connacht 1
IQ 1

Does the more even distribution represent improvement in Ulster and Munster or reduction in quality in Leinster? Or just a statistical blip? Comparing with the U18s, I don't know what to think.

The most pleasing part of U19s is that in spite of no Ulster coaching representation we have a decent selection. None with U18s either bar ex Ulster hooker Andy Kyriacou who is now involved with elite player development in Munster.

I used to feel our boys were overlooked based on the coaching panel. Natural bias you always pick your own.

Begs the question why is there no Ulster coaching representation?

Maybe D4 have wised up to the fact that at age level sometimes there is very little difference between the standard of players who play for each province

and by overlooking players outside the Dublin Area they kill stone dead any motivation of players in other provinces.

kill that motivation and you increase the necessity to look for foreign players or the possible reluctant movement of players between provinces .

Similar the non selection of players at age level continues to feed an uncompetive league and reduce local support.
Within this carapace of skepticism there lives an optimist

If the games back last August did Ulster U18 schools not beat Munster 22 to 15?

I wouldn't expect anything different with the disparity in resources available to the schools in question.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?
