Thought there may have been more. What has happened with Conor Rankin - missed if he had been given a development deal or anything?

Should NEVER have been given an academy place in first place. Just to remind you……Rankin was given an academy spot over McIlroy!

Yeah that’s why I was wondering if he wasn’t on any type of deal - seems a bonkers decision given MIlroy’s progress!

It was a bonkers decision at the time for many reasons.

No idea what he has been offered if anything at all.

Have Sullivan Upper gone to the dogs over the past couple of years?

My nephew Sam played loosehead and hooker for Sullivan firsts for the last couple of years and has just finished his A levels. His year were good at Medallion level but didn't really get any bigger, so at senior level they were technically good but small. Their number 8, Rory Carson, is talented, but I don't think he's interested in pursuing rugby beyond schools level - more interested in athletics. Sullivan did have Harry Thallon in the squad for the Ulster u18s against EIRA on Friday 22nd.

Sullivan also have Saunderson and Sheridan currently in the academy system, two players from the same year group is an above average return

Three - Conor McKee joined the academy at the same time.

Considering we've only ever had two professional rugby players before - David Erskine and Darren Cave - that's exceptional.

Still another year at school.

Plays 15 for MCB and 9 for ulster (last year).

Outstanding player, wise beyond his year. Very good kicker and his running game is on another level.
