Is it on TV tonight?
Always ask yourself, "What would Big Rodney do"... And every time the answer is... "Eat It"

Anyone heading down? Reports on the match would be greatly appreciated! We aren't really expecting many more back for this one are we?

The thugs down there won't care what team you support or where you are from. If they think they can rob you they will.Russ wrote:So long as nobody gets hurt I don't care

Made for good reading ADM as I see you entered the annual debate of the merits of friendlies.
Think as we have seen with the football with Man U looking like preseason world beaters and Man City like duds that it all counts for nothing once the competitive element is introduced.
In my opinion you get out of them what you want to put in.
If you want to give the youngsters a run resting the big guns, try new combinations and moves or want to go all out and full on thats what it will be.
Its horses for courses according to the team and I have have changed my viewpoint slightly from last years preseason.
For us two seasons ago we went all out in friendlies and got results and carried that momentum into our unbeaten run.
Last years preseason form was indifferent and it translated to our poor start to the season.
We are not like Leinster who can turn it on when it matters as we need consistant performance levels.
Therefore I think in our specific case our goal in friendlies is to achieve a decent level of performance to carry into the start of the season and maintain.
Exeter was a reasonable start to doing that by all accounts and we need a similar performance against Leinster.
Re: Errr... Don't we have a match tonight?
Do not think that the same amount of young fellas will be playing v Leinster.
It will be a more senior team than the Exeter game. Olding to play a part.

KOTH says no Olding 'til October. Other than that I'd agree; most players not involved with Irish summer tour to be in and around. Ludik, vdM, Murphy and Herbst all to be in as well, I'd hope. Would also like to see O'Hagan on from the off.
It's the hope that kills you.
