7 lads taken another 7 lads in a game of chess. Whichever team member farts first gives away a golden egg. The team with the most eggs wins. Unless of course someone farts out a purple egg then it's a draw. The winner is then decided when team captains arm wrestle a unicorn and throw a dwarves off a bridge until extra time. After that its a penalty shoot out involving dinosaurs and gypsies somehow.

That's just a brief synopsis of the game of sevens rugby.

Ireland should not play sevens, its a game for 2nd rate foreigners and girls, next we'll be at the 5 tackles & a kick FFS

FFS its as bad as people whinging on about not winning the 6Ns & keeping our powder dry for the RWC. RWC??? IN my manky old hole, Ireland will never win a RWC, all this ambitious  bullcrap about making a semi-final, FFS do you get a coconut for that? Crap, RWC my Gary Glitter. :puker: Ye can pay 3 forqunes of money to go or suffer it on ITbloodyV, I hope it passes quickly.

Anyway for all his many talents, the Irishman was not created for speed, name me one Irish Olympic 100 metres champion, g'wan tould yee. It would be one more sport we are ill-suited to yet insist on trying to play and embarrass ourselves even more than by losing to a pisspoor Welsh team.

Will the agony ever stop, we should have stuck to fighting & shooting ................oh aye, and the GAA. Maybe we could invent more "Irish" sports to be world champions at.................. like fecking a big metal ball down country lanes, maybe Gypo bareknuckle batin'.

There must be loads.

If your fit it's a great game no fat Bastaurds to slow the game down very few rucks and mauls and thus little for the ref to f ck up with a whistle players at full speed one end to the other .

It's different but for those who dislike hoof ball to complain about 7 ' s is like a porn star to complain about sex .

Plenty of 4 on 2s in a sevens match . . .also can someone be a kind soul and explain to rum, preferably by PM, what the terms "porn star" and "sex" actually mean? Poor pet seems awful confused/repressed . . .

Actually Baldy, Rum'n is not too wide of the mark ................unintentionally of course. A porn star, whilst engaging in sex is actually acting as if it is "real" sex. A sevens player similarly is acting as if it is "real" rugby, which it isn't within a beagle's gowl nor an ass's roar of being.

In fairness, not really that different for the cast in each case, for the educated spectator however, a very real difference.

Not totally true can see why poeple who complain about hoof ball complain about a game ( 7s ) which lacks kicking and is based on passing and providing a player space to run with the ball complain about 7 s and prefer a game designed for fat props and defence is king .

In 7s a player could run twice as far with the ball in his hands in 20 mins as most players do in 80 in the 15 game and also give more passes than most . A prop in the 15 aside could play 80 mins and never handle the ball give a pass or make a tackle .
