Wonder will we bid for the final again? >EW
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

From that fixture list it looks like a straight run of 16 weeks from 17th Oct.
Do we have the squad for that?

I really don't get this. 2 weeks and then only 1 more in the next 4, followed by a marathon run to the end of the season for anyone involved in the European cup latter stages.

I know the rwc is on, but those who play in in will be given time off during the season anyway i'm sure. It's not like holding back the games is going to result in teams being full strength for a lot more matches. If it is a concern about clashing with the rwc, then the fixture list should be devised so that teams don't play at the same time as their national team has a game. It can't be that difficult to do.

I'm sure it will be comcerns over the profile of the torunament during the rwc, but even so......

Do we know when the pre-season games are yet?

At a guess I'd say we will have two. One home and one away and in the two weekends before the league starts. Do we owe Exeter an away game as we played them before this season? Can't be bothered checking.

Pity they can't put the biggest Final in European rugby at the end of the season.

But the Aviva borefest and Top 14 waddle for 78 minutes with 2 minutes of intensity are so much better

Taking last summer as a guide, the Pro 12 fixtures - opponents and weekends should be out soon (was 2nd week of July last year). Had to wait until 2nd week of August last year to get confirmed days and kick off times. May get some interesting scheduling in rounds 3,4,5 and 6 to avoid clashing with rwc games.

Was 2nd week of August last year before details of the 1st 2 rounds of Europe were announced, no idea if it will be the same this year.

Dates and kick off times for rounds 1-11 (upto Christmas) will apparently be out this week. An announcement on the final venue will also apparently be made before the season starts - no idea who has bid/not bid.
