AP Hits The USA
Say whatever you like about the AP, but they are light years ahead in marketing than the Pro 12, they have sold the rights to games in America as well as tapping into a considerably large player pool, potentially. Sorries v Orish tomorrow in New York.

Thought Tony McCoy had crossed the pond in this thread.

They are claiming 600 to 700 London Irish fans going over the Sarries fan is going along as wellscrum5 wrote:Say whatever you like about the AP, but they are light years ahead in marketing than the Pro 12, they have sold the rights to games in America as well as tapping into a considerably large player pool, potentially. Might get a few fans going, NY flights are fairly well priced at this time of year and I'm sure it wouldnt be too hard to talk the wife into going to a match over there if she was getting a few days shopping and a show.

Disappointing crowd, you would think it's Barnet rather than New York

They've just said there are 15000 there. Must be all in the bars under the stands.scrum5 wrote:Disappointing crowd, you would think it's Barnet rather than New York

That was counting the invisible Sarries fanswaggonsroll wrote:They've just said there are 15000 there. Must be all in the bars under the stands.scrum5 wrote:Disappointing crowd, you would think it's Barnet rather than New York
I am always dubious when a nice even attendance figure like 15000 is given, if they had said 14358 it would look more credible that they actually used a gate count.

It was in Harrison though! That's a whole state away. Bad enough having to travel to a different London borough, or in Irish's case beyond the M25.scrum5 wrote:Disappointing crowd, you would think it's Barnet rather than New York
This is a state, a couple of rivers and several cities away.
