I cannot get the fecking thing to work. Well it scans etc but it will not scan incoming or outgoing emails but an error message comes up. I cannot update it either ..... any ideas before I rsort to drastic action and format the HD.

Colinh, you may well have already looked at this - if so, sorry.
My NAV is part of my NIS
My NAV settings are:
Auto-Protect: On
Email Scanning: On
Automatic LiveUpdate: On
Seems a bit early to format the HD
Can you uninstall NAV and then re-install?

Thanks for your help ..... ive done all that but no good. I have even reinstalled the updater. Also I cannot save word files ......... bizarre.
