Re: Absent Friends
Cables used to correct UR and the league at times. A well used brain. Might down a half bottle of scotch in his memory.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?
Re: Absent Friends
We’re in Berlin and just about to raise a glass to Stew McDowall who sadly passed on 16 June, having missed his funeral service today.
He was the first to properly welcome us into the UR family and away trips, in particular, will never be the same again.
It was a pleasure to be sitting next to him for the win in the RDS this year.
RIP big lad.

I'm shocked and saddened by this.justinr73 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 8:22 pm We’re in Berlin and just about to raise a glass to Stew McDowall who sadly passed on 16 June, having missed his funeral service today.

I served on URSC committee with Stew, but didn't even know he was ill (assuming this wasn't sudden). I knew he had health "issues" even a few years back, but didn't think they were likely to cause his demise. He always made light of them, and shrugged them off.
Decent spud whose company I enjoyed very well. Great sense of humour and very loyal Ulster supporter.
Would appreciate any info about Stew's last days, even if sent by PM? Thanks.

Grumps.
I'm not arguing -

Aye, sad to hear about Stew. Always a big smile and cheery attitude.
Always had a suggestion for a bar worth trying or a landlord who was prepared to do us a deal.

Indeed.
I believe they were queuing outside the door of the service but there’s talk of a further get together.
I’ll post any details.

The King is dead. Long live the King.
Re: Absent Friends
Cap'n - it was completely unexpected with friends and family in shock.
Very sad news. He was a top guy and passionate supporter. First met him outside of UR but then many times over the years at ravers and at some away games. He was the kind of guy who helped make those trips great occasions.
