ruckover wrote:Second string Clermont side is a little bit of an overstatement. Yes they are missing several key players but that's more or less the spine of their full strength team.

15. Scott Spedding, 14. Adrian Plante, 13. Remi Lamerat, 12. Wesley Fofana, 11. Nick Abendanon, 10. Patricio Fernandez, 9. Ludovic Radosavljevic; 1. Raphael Chaume, 2. Benjamin Kayser, 3. Aaron Jarvis, 4. Flip van der Merwe, 5. Sebastien Vahaamahina, 6. Julien Bardy, 7. Alexandre Lapandry, 8. Damien Chouly.

16. Yohan Beheregaray, 17. Etienne Falgoux, 18. Paul Jedrasiak, 19. Judicael Cancoriet, 20. Charlie Cassang, 21. Camille Lopez, 22. Benson Stanley, 23. Clement Ric.
From what we have seen so far this season, missing from the starting XV :

Strettle, Nakaitaci, Parra, Lopez, Lee, Itturia, Zirakashvili, Ulugia.

There are no more second string now in Clermont, since few youngsters are really on the track for a starting spot (Itturia, Falgoux, Fernandez, Cancoriet) and few others back at their best (Kayser, Bardy, Chaume, Van Der Merwe)

I think we might see a good game from Piutau against the Chiefs.

20-19 ft. Exeter have a dog leg in defence alot. They try and cut off the supply out wide but leave a lot of space out there.

Today it's Clermont-Toulouse to prepare our clash against Exeter next week :

Image

Except Bardy on the back row and Ulugia as a hooker, that's our best team at the time.

17 players on 23 from a french academy (10 of them from Clermont's one). That proves that you can top the french top 14 table without 5 georgians prop and 12 south-africans...

KO time 15.15 GMT on Sky Sports 5.

Good to see that a French team can be more or less ......................French.

It's a good looking team.
