Ballymena Academy won the Medallion Shield final 10-8 v Campbell this afternoon.

Congratulations to the Academy boys. One of the largest across the board packs I've seen at Junior Cup level.
They played to their strength keeping the ball largely through the middle of the pitch and were a constant nuisance at ruck time.
Special credit to the Ballymena back who tracked back and dislodged the ball from under a Campbell players wing during a certain diving score in the second half. The Campbell 15 should have taken the long distance penalty pot shot at goal towards the end of the game instead of the 10.
