The BLACK VELVET BAR (described as a 'Norn Irish' pub) is pretty central and sounds just the ticket

http://www.blackvelvetbar.fr/

Opened in March 2008 the Black Velvet is an (Norn) Irish Pub. A Belfast bar located in St Pierre area in Bordeaux, next to the “miroir d’eau” and the river. In the Black Velvet you can enjoy a nice fresh pint of the best Guinness and a classic malt while listening to good music and watching a match on the big screen. We have a menu of seven homemade burgers which are famous in the city and you can sweeten your diner with a cheese cake or a crumble. We also have a pool table, a dart board and an 80’s arcade games machine! Enjoy Barry’s Pub Quiz on Wednesday, taste our Dead Rockstars cocktails and let us know which is your favorite!
A classic malt I will assume is of the Bushmills variety, if not remove his N'orn Iron status and put his windies in for false information

Watch it Midget ... none of yer slabberin - HEAR !!

Anyway heard back from the BVB

The Management are only too happy to receive Ulster fans at their establishment (tho HWM's reputation precedes him) and he may be refused admission .... they have pointed out it is a SMALL pub and can only accommodate so many fans

BR will be pleased as they have a happy hour between 6-8pm every night but are prepared to offer happy hour prices ALL NIGHT to Ulster fans on Kronenbourg's Tigter Bock during our stay there :stout: :stout:

Will do my best to persuade our group (5 inc. me) to turn up at the Black Velvet bar for Happy Hour on the Saturday night. Any clarification on what the Happy Hour prices actually are?

Our house on the Rue du Tondu has a garden so we do plan do spend some time in it eating bagettes and pate and drinking copious amounts of cheap supermarket wine, and in particular on Sunday morning. If anyone is staggering along it en route to the game look out for the Ulster flegs on the windows and feel free to join us. Strictly BYO.

Anyone aware of what the flagpole rules are like at the Stadium?

AccuWeather giving it as 19 - 20 degrees with lots of sunshine / partial cloud

Surely got to be warmer than the UK ... well than Norn Ireland for sure :D

The Ulster Onesie has been washed since its recent excursion to Treviso and is ready, willing and able for DAY 3557.

Will post here and in the tickets thread....

I have two spare tickets for the cheap seats in the vicinity of the (hopefully) freshly laundered onesie..... Seats are in block 24, row 6.

PM me if you are interested.... Tickets are in London. Could either do a next day delivery with Royal Snail or preferably meet in Bordeaux prior to game. I'll be there from Friday afternoon.

Any joy on tickets MB? ..... all of our travelling party have tickets already

Maybe you shouldn't have mentioned the fact they were in the same section as the Onesie Wearing One - that may be a bit off putting and perhaps not the best sales ploy
