What a frickin shambles!

Exeter Chiefs send a party of 20+ cyclists across over the course of a week. 500+ miles hard riding to get to Belfast tonight at about 5pm.

They contacted UR to tell them about it.

They met a bunch of Ulster fan cyclists at Carryduff for a quiet beer and the formation of a convoy into town.

Exeter told UR what was going on.

Exeter told UR about the charity involved.

Ulster fans told UR what was going on.

Ulster Comms team knew what was going on (and suggested they'd got media involved).

Exeter Chief Executive pitched up at Carryduff with an official Chief's vehicle to escort the riders in.

Cut to Ravenhill.

No Shane Logan - not polite enough to welcome his counterpart.

UR Comms head totally failed to deliver any interest from anybody. Perhaps he might stop having f2f confrontations with Ulster fans on away trips over flegs and focus on his job???

Eventsec didn't know the cyclists were coming. They knew that the food court vans for tomorrow night were coming. They knew that they should seize fans' hip flasks on the Prom and pour them out in the face of their owners.

What a total shambles. Embarrassing doesn't cover it.

Logan and Finlay - you are on a cushy number. UP YOUR GAME OR VACATE FOR SOMEONE WHO WILL.

Finally absolute and total respect to the Chiefs fans for their efforts. What a magnificent effort.

Have to say if Logan hadn't gone to Clare so he could meet a few cyclists who thought they might make themselves the story I would have been cross.
