Found this on the world rugby website, hadn't seen this about before.
So to still be illegible under 3 year rule you cannot have represented any of these teams against any of the other teams listed.
Am I right?

Re: Men’s Next Senior National Representative Teams
Yes, but there are other things that will tie you too. Playing for an A team against a test team, or as part of a designated tour. 7s as you say ...UlsterNo9 wrote:Men’s Next Senior National Representative Teams

Also remember that the list changes. I think there is an older version available on the IRB site too.

Re: Men’s Next Senior National Representative Teams
Jaguars just a fancy name for Argentina A...not the S18 side.
The 20s one is a minefield, whether both sides are using the 20s as their 2nd side etc.

Re: Men’s Next Senior National Representative Teams
Jaguars are 2 different teams in the different context. Same as the wolfhounds to a degree.
Re: Men’s Next Senior National Representative Teams
Wolfhounds have no matches this year. For the last 5 years they've played Saxons and that's been it.
Never wrestle with a pig. You end up covered in muck and the pig loves it.
Re: Men’s Next Senior National Representative Teams
Think of all the wolfhounds caps Roger Wilson has been denied.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?
Re: Men’s Next Senior National Representative Teams
So from a protectionism point of view the IRFU will of course enlisted our U20 as our 2nd teamDeraless wrote:Wolfhounds have no matches this year. For the last 5 years they've played Saxons and that's been it.

Re: Men’s Next Senior National Representative Teams
From a protectionism point of view it makes more sense for any country to nominate an underage team. Way more players get U20 caps than even if the As played a full fixture list. Considering the As would also contain all the fringe Ulster guys who were already capped against East Timor anyway.

Re: Men’s Next Senior National Representative Teams
It depends how many other sides are doing it. Personally, I'd like to see a clause which excludes U20 caps which occur in defined U20 competitions.Deraless wrote:From a protectionism point of view it makes more sense for any country to nominate an underage team.
